Kahrs Seeks Re-Election to State House of Representatives

(Wichita, Kan) – Representative Mark Kahrs, a conservative Republican representing the 87th House District in east Wichita, today filed for re- election with the Kansas Secretary of State. Kahrs was elected to the Kansas State House of Representatives in 2012 with 62% of the vote. He starts his re-election effort with nearly $50,000 in his campaign account.

Kahrs pledged to keep fighting for lower taxes for the hard working people of the 87th District and to cut excessive and wasteful government spending. Kahrs has tirelessly worked to find common sense solutions to promote job growth in Wichita and across Kansas.

"I have been honored to represent the people of the 87th district and to fight for our shared values in the Kansas House" Kahrs said. " I look forward to continuing to work to pass conservative policies that promote job growth, protect our core family values and reign in wasteful government spending."

Kahrs, a fourth generation Kansan, is a local attorney and a small business owner. He and his wife Sherri have been married more than 18 years and have three children. They are members of Heartland Community Church.
