WTOPEKA, September 18, 2012 – The National Federation of Independent Business, Kansas’ leading small business association, today announced its endorsement of Mark Kahrs of Wichita in his bid for election to the Kansas legislature.
Dan Murray, NFIB/Kansas state director, said today that “Mr. Kahrs has received the support of NFIB Kansas because he has a clear understanding of the needs of small business owners. Mark Kahrs believes in protecting their rights as well as fighting to keep unnecessary regulations from adding to the burden of running a successful business.”
“Kahrs knows how important small businesses are to the economy of Kansas and will work to provide the tools small business owners need to operate their businesses. We are proud to endorse his candidacy,” Murray said.
NFIB’s endorsement brings with it the powerful support of thousands of small business owners from across the state. “Our members, the independent business owners, know and appreciate the importance of an ally in the legislature,” said Murray.
This endorsement comes from the Kansas SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, NFIB’s political action committee. The National Federation of Independent Business bases its political support on candidates’ positions and records on small business issues.
